I’m Brenda. I live in beautiful Denver, Colorado and am one of the few who can call myself a native. I have been a registered nurse since 2000. I have three beautiful boys and a very fulfilling life.
I have been delivering babies since 2007. I love every moment of being the support person for parents, watching a new life come to be. Family is something that has always been important to me – now I get to watch them in creation.
My three beautiful, spunky, funny, active, brilliant boys keep me on my toes, and I do what I can to be supportive and loving in a world that isn’t always either.
My husband plays a huge role in my success as both a mother and a writer. I am truly grateful for my family, my passion for writing, and that the two may come together here in this forum.
“Being a mother is learning about STRENGTHS you didn’t know you had and dealing with FEARS you never knew existed”
Linda Wooten

As a mom of three boys, I found it difficult to navigate the various intricacies of motherhood. I discovered that connecting with other moms, via social media, personal relationships or through various blog posts – got me through the toughest parts. As a labor & delivery nurse I see so many mothers, and get so many questions about the “right” way to be one. I’ve learned through trial and error (mostly error) that there is no right way to be. You can only be yourself and do your best.
So I’ve started this blog…for YOU. I want to be a voice of reason in a sea of doubt. You are the very best mother to your child, simply because that is your desire. It does not mean there will be no mistakes along the way – but as much as we shape our children, our children also shape us.
Join me on this exciting journey of motherhood. I promise to share my insights, and I can’t wait to learn from yours too.
With Love – Brenda
